Weekly Twitter Wrap-Up June 2 2017

We’re back at it again with the Twitter Wrap-Up series!

Happy Friday to everyone out there, can you believe it’s already June?

These past couple weeks have been busy at Blayzer, three new interns have joined the team this summer, as well as a new salesperson, even though it’s been busy around the shop there’s still been time for us to bust out some quality Tweets.

More quality memes have been surfacing the internet ever since President Donald Trump left us with a philosophical question to ponder via Twitter.  If you happen to know the true meaning behind covfefe, please tweet at us @blayzerstl.

At our weekly Twitter meeting, we discussed a wide range of topics from the new Google Adwords interface to food.

Google Adwords will be rolling out to new interface at the of this year to advertisers, so that’s something to look forward to. Our very own Josh Echele tweeted his excitement about the new keyboard extensions in the new word interface.

So what are some features coming to Google’s new Adwords interface? Search Advertising will incorporate in-market targeting. Currently, this is available on the Display network and will be rolling out on search soon! There were many announcements from the Google Marketing Keynote- look for a blog on this topic in the coming weeks!

Outside of Adwords, we discussed how more and more people are using voice search to find what they need. There are so many ways to search with voice, there’s Siri, Cortana, Alexa from Amazon’s Echo, Google Voice, and Google Home. Why type it when you can just speak it? I imagine the reason why people go to voice search is that there’s no need to worry about spelling, and also convenience. If you’re out walking and on your mobile device it’s just easy to voice search instead of having to walk and type at the same time. Or, if you’re at home on the couch and don’t want to get up, just ask Alexa or Google Home your question.

The tables shifted from Google to food. Landon got a “like” on Twitter from Imo’s and I got a couple retweets and a “like” from Snarf’s Sandwiches on Twitter, that made my week! Being brand loyal does pay off, on social media.

Well, that’s all I got for you, thanks for sticking around. I’d love to know your thoughts on voice search, leave a comment below or tweet me.

Have a good weekend, and see you next week for more Twitter updates.
