Capital City Fruit is a grower, shipper, repacker, and supply chain manager of fresh fruits and vegetables. Their primary goal is to provide high-quality service and consistent produce delivered to customers’ specifications. They have built a global network of family farms and growers across the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Europe, South America, Central America, and locally throughout the Midwest.
Capital City Fruit came to Blayzer for help streamlining its segregated web solution. They had two separate properties – a WordPress content website and a BigCommerce ecommerce store. The WordPress site resided on the company’s longtime, well-ranked web domain, and the BigCommerce store was built on a MyBigCommerce.com subdomain. To raise SEO traffic and sales in their ecommerce store, Capital City Fruit needed the help of a skilled BigCommerce partner to bring the solutions together and have everything hosted on their primary domain. Blayzer’s BigCommerce website designers migrated all pages and forms from the WordPress site inside BigCommerce. Recreating the exact look and feel of a WordPress page design inside BigCommerce can be challenging, but our team successfully ported all the unique WordPress design elements into BigCommerce. Once the pages were built, our BigCommerce development and SEO teams handled the complex DNS migration to move the store onto the main domain. Now Capital City Fruit’s entire web solution is built in one robust platform and lives on one well-ranked domain.
